COLT Programme

The COLT Programme objective was to replace the end-to-end client life-cycle management applications with a single integrated platform. My involvement in the programme cut across 3 roles:

2019 - 2023
Created the business capability requirements for assessing whether to proceed with an in-house build or commercially available off-the-shelf system, allowing that assessment to proceed
Managed the RFP process and presentation of recommendations, leading to the selection of the preferred vendor
Designed roles and mobilized resources to allow the COLT programme to proceed to the first design stages
Created high level target operating model for Corporate & Institutional Banking providing the high level design basis for the programme to proceed

2017 - 2018
Developed and obtain approval of the benefits case meeting financial hurdle rates as well as improved compliance and risk reduction, allowing funding to be released for the next stages
Developed the next level target operating model design to provide the basis for lower-level design work
Developed the operating model for the first release - Entity Management - to allow the development to proceed

Acted as Programme advocate for all stakeholders across Europe and Americas to ensure that all stakeholders were aware of programme status and in a position to approve go-live
Contributed the operational design to allow early identification of departure from expected operational performance after go-live, which worked effectively with intervention being initiated within 6 weeks
Designed the treatment plan for addressing the impact on operational performance, with stable operations within risk thresholds subsequently being achieved.

Senior Manager Business Transformation
Achieved business synergies from acquisition of RBS Corporate & Retail businesses in Asia (monetized benefits equivalent to the actual release of ~120 FTE
Programme managed the build of business processes to integrate the RBS businesses into ANZ. Integration completed
Programme managed the build of business processes to obtain subsidiary bank licenses in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, and Taiwan. Licenses obtained
Programme managed the process build for new core platform deployment (Finacle). Finacle successfully deployed
Built operational plans for franchise expansion in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam
Programme managed the process universe build for new mobile banking start-up in Cambodia (Wing).
